1. You will need a sheet of coloured card or paper, a piece of white
paper, glue, scissors, pens or pencils. Cut out the templates from the
sheet, and use them to cut the pieces as directed.

2. Put your hand on the doily, draw then cut round as many times as you
can. Make sure your fingers are over the lacy edges, and ask your
family to help so you have different sized hands.

3. Once all the pieces are cut out, arrange them on the coloured card or
paper.

4. Stick the head, neck, beak and knob on first, then arrange the
hands, with the fingers pointing backwards. Start at the back of the
swan’s body and work forwards when you glue the hands down, only gluing
the palms and making sure that they overlap.
