The CEL Open Day will put on quite a show!
Join us for a day of merriment on October 19 from 10am to 4pm. Mark your calendars!
Exchange your books, take part in activities galore, sample some treats from our bake sale and help us celebrate renowned children’s author… you’ll have to stay tuned to find out who it is!
This Saturday is the last Saturday that CEL will be open before the school summer holidays. During the school holidays CEL will be open on Friday mornings (10:00-12:00) and afternoons (14:30-17:30) only.
There will be activities during the summer holidays, so come in, join in, change your books and don’t forget the 
Summer_Reading_Challenge Log …

CEL will ONLY be open on Friday morning 10:00-12:00, this Friday (12th July). Due to volunteer shortages we will be closed on Friday afternoon. Apologies for any inconveince.

Here is an update on what’s going on at the Library:
FRIDAY FUNTIME: Hi folks we’ll be making our own fun layered Yoghurt pots this week at the library. Book from 1530, activity straight after.
Please do let me know if you’ll definitely be there to make sure I’ve got enough ingredients for everyone 😘

Sarah will be bringing her ukulele to the library on Friday for a sing-a-long! She tells me sometimes she manages as many as FOUR chords 😱😁

Clive Staples Lewis was born in Belfast (which was then in Ireland) in 1898. His is best known for his works of fiction, including The Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis wrote more than 30 books, which have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold millions of copies! Lewis attended Oxford University, with his studies interrupted by the first World War (he eventually went back and finished his studies after the war). Lewis and fellow novelist J. R. R. Tolkien were close friends. They both served on the English faculty at Oxford University. Come check one of his books out today!
