August Spotlight on Julia Donaldson

Julia Donaldson is a British author known for her books like, “The Gruffalo” and “Stick Man”. Julia has written 184 books, most of which are for scholastic and school use, and the rest (about 64 books) are for readers like you! Axel Scheffler, who illustrates many of her books is from Hamburg but now resides in London. Come check out one of her/their books at the library!

July’s Spotlight is on Michael Bond

The recently deceased Michael Bond is the author of the very famous Paddington Bear books. Bond’s first Paddington book, “A Bear Called Paddington” was published in 1958 and since then, Paddington’s adventures have been published in almost 20 countries and in over 40 languages. Bond has written other series, like Olga da Polga and a culinary mystery series for adults featuring a character called Monsieur Pamplemousse. Michael Bond has won many awards for his contributions to children’s literature and had sold millions of books throughout his prolific career. Come check out one of his books at the library!

June’s Spotlight is on Megan McDonald

Megan McDonald is an American author (and Librarian!) from Pennsylvania know for the junior fiction series, Judy Moody. Judy Moody is an adventurous 3rd grader whose antics are sure to made any reader laugh. Judy also has a brother she calls Stink and McDonald has written a spin-off series about Stink as well.
