Halloween Party and Children’s Book Drive

Hello Members and Volunteers,

Our 7th annual Children’s Book Drive starts on Saturday November 1st and runs until Saturday November 29th. We are collecting new and gently used German language children’s books for ages 0-18. The books will be donated to children’s homes and organizations that support families in our community.
Ways you can help: donate books, tell friends and neighbors, donate sturdy shopping bags (for delivery), purchase books from the wishlist (to be shared as we receive requests from the organizations).
We appreciate all of your help and support for our Book Drive! We hope to send out some love and good cheer to children and families in our community during the holiday season. ❤️📚❤️

Don’t forget this Saturday November 1st is also our Halloween Party from 1-5 pm!

We are still looking for bakers and volunteers to help out.
Please sign up on the Nuudel if you can help out. https://nuudel.digitalcourage.de/celhalloween2025

Don’t forget on Friday 31st October we are open from 14:30-17:30 only. There will be a batty Friday Fun to join in with.

Thank you to all who donated items for our Kinderbasar sale last weekend! It was a big success and we raised 164€ for the library! 🎉

Best wishes,
The CEL board

Vaihinger Stadtfest – Thank You

A big thanks to all the bakers and helpers who made our Vaihinger Stadtfest stand possible today. It was a fantastic opportunity to advertise our wonderful library and do some fundraising.
Thanks also to all the members who stopped by to say hi 🙋‍♀️
We hope to be back again next year!

Vaihinger Stadfest – Sunday, July 6th

Dear members,
Now is your chance to help out!
Volunteers are needed to help with our stand at the Vaihinger Stadfest on Sunday, July 6th. We will be offering an easy craft, selling books and cookies, and telling the visitors how great our library is. Volunteers are needed to help set up, man the tent, and take it down.

Please sign up here:

Don’t have time that day? No problem! We also need your cookie baking skills. We’d like to sell prepackaged cookies at our stand at the Vaihinger Stadtfest. Please put 2-3 cookies in a bag and drop off at the library by Saturday, July 5th.

Many thanks,

Holiday Opening and Vaihinger Stadtfest

Dear CEL members and volunteers,

Thanks to everyone who came out to watch a great Stuttgart Reds baseball game last weekend. The team didn’t win the game, but at least the rain didn’t stop the fun!

CEL will again have a stand at the Vaihinger Stadtfest this year. Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 6th. This will be a great opportunity to advertise our library and have some fun at the festival.
Volunteers will be needed! Let us know by replying to this mail if you can help.

The Pentecost school holidays are from Saturday June 7- Sunday June 22.
During this time CEL will only be open  on Friday afternoon 14:30-17:30. (Fridays June 13th and June 20th)

Best wishes and happy reading,
The CEL Board
