Dear CEL Members,

Our 4th Annual Children’s Book Drive was a success! We were able to donate around 250 books and 40 pixie books to 5 different Children’s Homes and Family support organizations. 📚❤️📚

Thank you to everyone that donated books and helped spread the word about our book drive.

Once again, the people at these organizations were so grateful to receive so many good quality books for their kids.

Thanks again for supporting our book drive and for helping us to do something positive for our community in memory of Henry. ❤️

Starting this year, we will be accepting donations for our book drive all year round. If you have German language childrens books for ages 0-18 (baby to young adult) in new or gently used condition that you would like to donate, please bring them anytime to the library. Just let the volunteer on duty know that the books are for the annual book drive.

CEL opens for the first time in 2023 on Friday 13th January.
Thanks to our Stock Management Team, our new books are now displayed on special shelves. Come and check out what’s on offer.

Did you know snowmen get cold too? Join us Friday, 16 December at 4 pm as we read Sneezy the Snowman. Following the reading, we will have an activity where we will make puffy paint and create our own melting snowman. The activity is best for 3 and up, but all ages are welcome.

CEL will close on 17th December at 17:00 and reopen on Friday 13th January at 10:00.

Please remember to renew your books before the holidays.

Come make some Christmas ornaments with us this Friday afternoon for Friday Fun 🎄 🎅 ⛄️ Reading will be at 4pm and craft will direct follow. Best for ages 2-7, but all are welcome!

There are 10 Gingerbread Men hiding in our library! See if you can find all 10 and get a treat from our desk volunteer! 🎄🎄🎄

Dear CEL members,

It’s time to get started on our 4th annual Children‘s Book Drive! ❤️📚🎄

We will be collecting new and gently used German language children‘s books to benefit local children‘s homes and family support centers. We need books for ages 0-18 years old.

The book drive will run from Friday November 11th until Saturday December 3rd. There will be a collection box set up by the front desk.

Please spread the word and share this flyer with your friends and family and help us to spread some love and holiday cheer to children in our community!
