Hello Members, Volunteers, and Supporters,

We will be closed on Friday May 1st for the national holiday.
We will be open on Saturday May 2 from 2-5 pm for normal opening hours.

This coming Saturday May 2nd from 9:30-12:00, we will have our annual Spring Clean. We would appreciate all the help we can get so if you can spare some time, come on over to the library and help us clean it up. There will be coffee and pastries to sweeten the deal. Bring your own bucket!

Thanks you to everyone that showed up for our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday. We reviewed the activities and work of the board for 2025 as well as our financial status. It was a good year at CEL with a lot of engagement and fun activities and quite a bit of fundraising. Thank you to all of our board members and to everyone that volunteered in 2025. We are a volunteer run organization and without volunteers, we can’t exist.
We had two board members that stepped down from the board this year. Jane Eggert stepped down after an amazing 12 years on the board as treasurer. Thank you, Jane, for all of the time and energy you have given to the library. You have done so much for the CEL including during the Pandemic when you handled the majority of the contactless lending and kept the library running in those very challenging times.
Divya Rao stepped down after a 3 year term as secretary. Thank you, Divya, for all of your time and energy that you gave to the library. We will miss you both!
