Annual General Meeting and Easter school holiday hours
Dear Members,
Thank you to all those who supported our Open Day last Saturday.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday April 22nd at 7:00 pm at the library.
We will review the work of the Board of Directors and the activities of the CEL for 2025 as well as hold elections for new board members. If you are interested in joining the board, please email Liz.Weiser@celstuttgart.de.

Easter school holidays begin this Saturday March 28 until Sunday April 12. During this time the library will only be open on Friday afternoon April 10th from 2:30-5:30 pm. Regular opening hours resume beginning Friday April 17th.

Open Day at the CEL on March 21st

The Children’s English Library is having an Open Day on Saturday March 21st from 1-5 pm. We have lots of fun activities planned! We are looking for volunteers to help out during the Open Day as well as donations of baked goods for our bake sale. Open Day at CEL
Hello Members, Volunteers, and Supporters,
We are having a Wild themed Open Day at the CEL on March 21 from 1-5 pm. We will have a craft, activities, storytime, and a bake sale! Come dressed as something “wild” and get a prize! Be sure to invite your friends and help us spread the word. Hope to see you there!

Fasching School Holidays and Blind Date with a Book
Hi Members, Volunteers, and Supporters,
The Fasching school holidays begin on Saturday February 14 and end on Sunday February 22. CEL will be closed during this time with normal opening hours resuming on Friday February 27.
We are having a Blind Date with a Book event on Friday February 27at 7:30 pm at the library. Bring a wrapped book with a few clues written on it and a snack to share. We’ll provide drinks. It’s a fun way to get to know some other members, volunteers, and supporters and go home with a new book! Please RSVP at info@celstuttgart.de or on the Facebook/Instagram post.

Book Drive and Christmas Closing
Our 7th annual Children’s Book Drive is officially done and dusted! We gave away 698 books and 119 pixies to 5 different Children’s Homes. The directors of these organizations were all so happy and grateful to receive so many fantastic books again this year.
Thank you to everyone that donated books, helped spread the word about our book drive, and especially for helping us to do something in memory of Henry. We are spreading some love and magic out into our community with these gifts of books and it’s a wonderful thing. ❤️
CEL will be closed for the school holidays from Saturday December 20- January 6. The first day open after the holidays will be January 9, 2026.
